Oxford University Lawn Tennis Club required a bespoke honours board to record results from the historic Varsity matches between Oxford and Cambridge. With a history spanning decades, the board needed to reflect the prestige of the competition while offering a modern and durable finish. We designed, manufactured, and delivered a unique lawn tennis honours board that combines a bold, contemporary style with the practicality of long-term use and easy updating.

A Unique Lawn Tennis Honours Board
This project was unusual compared to traditional wooden honours boards. The main panel was manufactured from solid blue aluminium composite (to a RAL colour) with a matt finish, giving the board a striking appearance that immediately stands out in a sporting environment. The panel was set within a solid oak frame, balancing the modern blue finish with the traditional look of timber.
Lettering was applied using matt white vinyl for names, dates, and scores, with gold gloss vinyl used for headings. Two digitally printed tennis crests were produced and applied to the top corners, ensuring the club’s identity was front and centre. At 1300 × 900mm, the board was designed to include multiple columns, allowing for clear display of the Varsity results from 1979 to the present, with space reserved for future entries.
