Greatfields School in Barking, East London, required a new school honours board to recognise and celebrate pupil achievement. Design and Specification
The board was manufactured as a single 1200 × 1200mm flat-top panel, a square format that works well for schools where wall space is at a premium and a structured, columnar layout is needed. The panel itself was produced from light oak faced MDF, giving a clean, warm appearance, and finished with a solid oak frame that adds depth and rigidity to the overall construction.
Lettering and layout graphics were produced as matt cut vinyl, applied directly to the face of the board. This approach gives sharp, consistent lettering and allows the board to be updated efficiently as new names are added each year. The school's logo was digitally printed onto white vinyl and applied to the face of the board, ensuring the crest reproduces with full colour accuracy against the oak background.
The board was supplied with brass mirror fixings for secure and straightforward wall mounting. These sit flush against the frame and provide a neat, traditional finish well suited to a school setting.
