NOVA Centurion Swimming Club - Olympians Boards

NOVA Centurion Swimming Club is one of the UK’s leading competitive swimming programmes, developing athletes who go on to compete at the very highest level. For this project, we produced a suite of six large honours boards to recognise swimmers who have represented their country on the international stage.
Working with a club of this calibre meant the boards needed to accomodate a wide range of achievements from Olympic and Paralympic appearances through to World and Commonwealth competition success, all presented accurately.

Honouring Elite Athletes Through Structured Design
Each board was carefully designed to accommodate a large volume of historical data, including athletes, events and international competitions. The content spans multiple generations of swimmers, with achievements recorded across Olympic Games, World Championships, European Championships and Commonwealth Games.
As shown in the photos here, these swimming club honours boards bring together a wide range of international appearances and medal-winning performances into a consistent format, ensuring clarity without losing the impact of the information .
A light oak veneered centre panel was paired with a solid wood frame to give the boards a traditional, long-lasting feel, while gold vinyl lettering was used to provide contrast and a sense of prestige. This combination works particularly well for sporting honours, where recognition and visibility are equally important.
The scale of the boards also played a key role. At over two metres wide, they provide enough space to present achievements clearly, while still feeling cohesive when installed together as a full set.
