Chilwell Manor Golf Club – Acrylic Honours Boards

Each board was manufactured from 8mm clear acrylic with highly polished edges, providing a glass-like finish while being lightweight and durable. A solid black vinyl reverse was applied to create a bold background, while the lettering and dividing lines were produced in matt white vinyl for maximum legibility.

The club crest was digitally printed, profile cut, and applied to the top of each board, ensuring the boards tied in with the club’s identity. Both boards were mounted using 19mm stand-off black barrel fixings, inset 25mm to give a floating effect on the wall while keeping the installation secure.

This design approach was chosen to replace the traditional wooden style with something that still reflects the formality of an honours board, but with the benefits of acrylic — easy to clean, no varnishing required, and straightforward to update with new lettering.
