Bristol & Clifton Golf Club. Wooden Honours Boards

Wooden honours boards installed at Bristol & Clifton Golf Club with oak veneer finish and black lettering.

Wooden

Bristol & Clifton Golf Club is one of the region’s most respected courses, with a long history of recognising members’ achievements. Their clubhouse honours boards had reached the stage where replacements were needed, and the club wanted a solution that was traditional in style, but built to last for years ahead.

We designed, manufactured, and installed a set of oak veneered wooden honours boards that showcase the club’s history and provide a professional, easy-to-read display for members and visitors.

Craftsmanship & Design

Our team began by reviewing the existing boards and confirming the sizes needed for the new displays. The boards were produced from oak veneered MDF with a straight top profile, framed in 44mm solid oak for durability and presence. Each board was finished in a clear lacquer to bring out the natural grain of the oak while protecting the surface.

For the lettering, we used matt black PVC vinyl text, sized at 13mm to ensure readability even across long lists of names. Every detail was set out digitally in our studio before production, allowing the club to review and approve the layouts.

This careful design process ensured accuracy and consistency before anything was produced. The completed boards were then fitted with mirror bracket fixings, providing a safe and secure installation method suitable for large timber displays.

Project Summary

Once manufactured, the boards were delivered and installed within the clubhouse by our experienced team. Installation was carried out in coordination with the club to ensure minimal disruption. The final result is a series of traditional oak honours boards that maintain the prestige of the club’s history while being designed for straightforward updates in the future.

The combination of oak, crisp black lettering, and framed edges gives a timeless look that suits the classic style of the clubhouse. These new boards will continue to provide a professional display of winners and champions for years to come.
