What payment terms do you offer?
We are pleased to be able to offer 30 day payment terms to all schools, colleges, universities and education authorities upon receipt of a purchase order.
What materials do you use to make the boards?
We offer a range of high-quality materials including premium hardwoods like American Light Oak and Sapele, as well as a range of acrylic options. American Light Oak is a light coloured wood, similar to oak but a much lighter colour. It takes stains very nicely allowing us to change it's appearance. Sapele normally has a redder appearance, but also takes stains nicely. The acrylics we offer come in both coloured materials as well as a completely transparent material, glass like, which allows us to produce a variety of background effects to it. If you're unsure which to choose, just ask. We're here to help.
How do schools typically use honours boards?
The majority of schools use them to celebrate academic achievements or to record notable persons. For instance, Head Boy/Girl Awards, Headteacher Awards, Sports Team Captains, Academic Honours and so on. Then there are special use cases where the board may display a list of persons/companies who donated towards a school project. Either way, we're able to make bespoke school honours boards to your requirements.
Can the board be updated annually with new names and awards?
Yes, absolutely. Our boards are designed with easy updating in mind. Whether you choose vinyl lettering or printed panels, our design allows for annual updates without the need for a complete reordering. How long does it take to receive a school honours board once ordered?
Once you’ve finalised your design, production typically takes between 1 to 3 weeks. Wooden boards take around 2 - 3 weeks, the acrylic boards are typically quicker to manufacture. However, lead times can vary depending on the complexity of the design and current production schedules. We always aim to provide a clear timeframe during your consultation so you know exactly when to expect your new board. Please let us know of any deadlines in advance.

Notes: An unusual school honours board design in that the two most popular materials, wood and acrylic, are combined into one board.
The frame and backpanel are manufactured from light oak. The graphics are then applied to this and covered with an acrylic face panel.
This type of design would suit locations where the lettering on a board might receive unwanted attention as the acrylic face panel covers the lettering and stops it being damaged.
